This commercial office building was built in 1980 and in need of a major facelift. In 2020 PARE provided just that with a warm, strong, sexy design direction, loosely inspired by Madmen. Harkening Mid-Century overtones, we opened up confined spaces in the public entrances and elevator corridor to become a welcoming place for time-out and impromptu meetings. The incorporation of wood screening and planters offers semi-seclusion while maintaining vista.

The vibrant wallcovering by Area Environments is a main attraction offering intrigue and brightening. The Dekton-clad elevator corridor with its striking veining grounds the space and the playfully-placed light sconces bring a bit of whimsy.

The end result is a public space that feels more like an experiential destination rather than a pass-through.
